CBC/Radio-Canada signs Olympic content deal with Twitter
By Adnews Staff

CBC/Radio-Canada has signed a content agreement with social media service Twitter related to the Tokyo 2020 and Beijing 2022 Olympic Games. Through this agreement, Twitter Canada will carry live content streams from the broadcaster during the events. The streams will cover five as-yet unspecified Olympic events. The ad-supported content is intended to reach consumers other than those following the CBC and Radio-Canada Olympic Games accounts.
“CBC has been an incredible partner for Twitter during the last two Olympic Games and we look forward to building on those successes with a new selection of premium content opportunities in the months ahead,” said Conor Clarance, head of sports at Twitter Canada.
