Vancouver Crime Stoppers breaks campaign

Metro Vancouver Crime Stoppers has begun a new campaign intended to reduce gang violence in the city. Developed by PS DDB, the campaign focuses on recent increases in gun violence and gange activity in the region. The creative encourages residents to provide anonymous tips about crimes they have witnesses to the organization. The campaign includes a 30-second video depicting a world where citizens require body armour to engage in everyday activities. This is being accompanied by radio, print, out-of-home and social media advertising. This creative depicts Kevlar clothing in the style of fashion advertising. The effort will run into next year in British Columbia on media donated by Pattison Outdoor Advertising and Outfront Media.

“The new campaign for Crime Stoppers imagines a possible future where elevated protection is just a regular part of life,” said Katie Ainsworth, creative director at PS DDB. “Tips really can make all the difference.”
