McDonald's readies loyalty program contest
By Adnews Staff
Fast food chain McDonald’s Canada will begin a promotion on Dec. 7 called “APPreciation Day.” The effort is in support of the company’s recently-launched MyMcDonald’s Rewards loyalty program. On that day, the company will give away a total of 50 million loyalty points to users of the program’s mobile application. It also includes a one-day contest that will be conducted via Twitter and Instagram that will give 50 consumers a chance to win one million points.
“Canadian McDonald’s guests are some of the most loyal in the world,” said Francesca Cardarelli, senior director of marketing, planning and digital marketing strategy at McDonald's Canada. “We created ‘APPreciation Day’ as a show of gratitude for the incredible love our guests show for the brand every day, and of course, to give them a chance to win even more MyMcDonald’s Rewards points to redeem their favourite McDonald’s items.”
