Metro Vancouver Crime Stoppers breaks new campaign
By Adnews Staff
Non-profit organization Metro Vancouver Crime Stoppers has begun a new awareness campaign called "World Without Crime." Developed by DDB Canada of Vancouver, the campaign is intended to increase use to the crime-reporting service by residents of the Lower Mainland area. The provincial campaign, aimed primarily at millennial-aged residents, consists of three 30-second television commercials accompanied by radio, print and social media advertising. The creative depicts what life might look like without crimes such as gang activities and gun violence.
"Crime Stoppers has been a household name for decades, however we want to connect with a younger generation who may not know how our organization works and how they can help," said Linda Annis, executive director of Metro Vancouver Crime Stoppers. "We want to hear from people who may know of individuals committing criminal activity, relatives, friends, neighbours or even rival gangs. Even the smallest tip can make a big difference."
