Kellogg readies Pringles ketchup slide event

Kellogg Canada will conduct a promotional event in support of its Pringles chip brand. The event will take place in downtown Toronto on June 3 to promote the launch of a new ketchup flavour of the chips. It will make use of a 50-foot-long slide covered in ketchup. Consumers will be invited to don coveralls, helmets and goggles, then take a ride on the slide. According to Kellogg, the company will attempt to set a world record for "The Most Canadians to Slip Down a Ketchup Slippery Slide in One Hour." The event will also include product sampling and a personal appearance by Toronto Blue Jays player Brett Lawrie. It will be supported with social media activities.
"Ketchup chips are seriously one of my all-time favourite chip flavours," said Lawrie. "Playing in the show means spending a lot of time outside of the true north strong and free, and they're one of the things that I miss most. I'm amped-up to see ketchup chip fans on the Pringles Ketchup Slippery Slide and be part of such a flavourful celebration of Canada's 150th birthday."
