Blue Ant Media buys Racat Group

Blue Ant Media of Toronto has acquired the Racat Group, a media production company based in Sydney, Australia. The purchase includes the subsidiary companies of the group, comprising production companies NHNZ, Beach House Pictures and Northern Pictures, as well as children's nature broadcaster ZooMoo Networks and mobile game developer Runaway Play. These businesses operate in Singapore, Dunedin, Sydney, Beijing and Taipei.

David Haslingden, CEO of Racat, has become a member of the Blue Ant board and a shareholder in the company. He will remain based in Sydney as an advisor on international expansion. in September, Racat consultant Ward Platt will be appointed to the newly-created position of CEO for kids and global networks at Blue Ant. He will be based in Los Angeles.
