Kellogg conducts Frosted Flakes promotion

Mississauga-based Kellogg Canada has begun a promotion for its Frosted Flakes cereal brand to coincide with the 70th anniversary of the brand's spokescharacter, Tony the Tiger. The promotion also coincides with the Lunar New Year, which marks the beginning of the Year of the Tiger. The promotion consists of special packaging for the cereal featuring "traditional celebratory designs" in red and gold. The packaging also features New Year greetings in Chinese and an image of Tony holding a gift envelope symbolizing good wishes and luck for the coming year ahead. The envelope displays a QR code which consumers can use to download a Frosted Flakes coupon.

"The creation of this special-edition box of Frosted Flakes cereal exemplifies our commitment to celebrating the cultural traditions of our diverse employees and consumers across Canada," said Christine Jakovcic, vice-president of marketing and nutrition at Kellogg Canada. "In fact, we engaged our ED&I employee resource group to help design this limited-edition pack commemorating the Lunar New Year and Tony's birthday. On behalf of Kellogg Canada, I extend warm wishes to all those celebrating the Year of the Tiger and wish everyone great happiness and prosperity in the year ahead."
