Sportsnet, Twitter begin Puck Drop promotion

Sportsnet has begun a promotion called “Puck Drop” in collaboration with social media company Twitter Canada. Beginning Dec. 4, consumers can watch the forst five minutes of Sportsnet’s first Hockey Night in Canada live broadcast on Twitter for free. The Twitter post will link to online streaming service Sportsnet Now Free, where consumers can continue to watch the full game. Consumers can also opt to receive a notification when selected NHL games will be posted to Twitter through the hockey season.
