Air Canada begins holiday campaign

Montreal-based airline Air Canada has released a new commercial called “Tis the season to believe,” intended to convey the importance of togetherness during the holidays as pandemic restrictions ease. Developed by FCB of Toronto, the live action and animated ad depicts two people separated by a glass snow globe. It shows a real Air Canada pilot bringing a snow globe home for her son, who then imagines two strangers from different snow globes meeting. The campaign includes 60- and 30-second versions for television, a 60-second cinema version, and 30- and 15-second online videos.
“This year's holiday brand spot was inspired by the universally shared experiences and emotions felt over the course of the pandemic,” said Andy Shibata, brand vice-president at Air Canada. “But this piece is also inspired by the resilience and power of love and determination that has brought us back together. Slowly but surely, family and friends have been able to safely reunite and share beautiful moments together again, and we feel very fortunate to play a small part in their journeys back to one another.”
