TWO TELEMARKETING FIRMS MERGE

Two Toronto specialists in marketing by telephone are merging to expand their services. Phoneworks and 2PM Group will join forces on April 1 and will announce a new name some time in April. The companies offer interactive telephone services for sales and marketing programs. 2PM and Phoneworks clients include Disney Resorts, YTV, The Sports Network, Procter & Gamble and Mead Johnson. The companies each have relationships with major telecommunications companies. 2PM has an alliance with Bell Canada, while Phoneworks has connections to NBTel and BCTel. 2PM and Phoneworks run programs using 1-800 and 1-900 numbers as well as and prepaid calling cards. 2PM has been in business for five and a half years and Phoneworks for seven years.
