Taco Bell begins diamond contest

Fast food chain Taco Bell Canada has begun a contest promotion which will give away four one-carat diamonds made from taco shells. Two pairs of winners will receive a pair of diamond necklaces each. According to the company, the diamonds “serve as an ode to the perfectly imperfect nature of tacos.” Consumers can enter the contest on Instagram or TikTok until Dec. 8. The promotion also includes an event in Toronto on Dec. 1 and 2 where consumers can see the diamonds and participate in various friend-themes activities. Taco Bell is a subsidiary of Yum Brands.
“Taco Bell is all about celebrating life's messy moments and embracing what it means to be imperfect,” said Devon Lawrence, marketing director at Taco Bell Canada. “The idea that even something as beautiful as diamonds have imperfections reinforces our brand mantra to Live Mas, and celebrate our authentic, messy and beautiful selves. What better way to mark the occasion than with friends, the people who celebrate you for exactly who you are?”
