Canadian Family introduces digital edition

Toronto-based Canadian Family magazine has debuted a new digital edition with its March issue. The paid digital version is aimed at users of tablet devices. It has launched initially for Apple devices, with an Android version to follow. The edition includes each page of the print magazine, redesigned for the tablet format with added interactive features. The sponsor of the digital edition at launch is Mead Johnson.

"Many of our readers rely on the tablet more and more for the ease and convenience of having their favourite magazine with them wherever they go," said Brandie Weikle, editor-in-chief of Canadian Family. "We want to maximize the ways in which readers can use our content interactively, whether it be following a recipe with a tap of your finger, or scrolling to read the text you want. This unique, tactile experience is an exciting offering."
