Astral has signed-on as the co-presenting sponsor of the 30th International Festival of Films on Art, which will take place in Montreal from March 15 to 25. Astral will also be the presenting sponsor of the festival's 2012 Grand Prize. As part of the agreement, an advertising campaign for the festival will air in February on various Astral specialty television channels, radio stations, ad displays and websites in Montreal, other regions of Quebec and Toronto. "Astral is pleased to be among the principal partners in music, television and film culture in Quebec and Canada," said Jacques Parisien, executive vice-president and COO at Astral. "FIFA is the most important festival of its kind in the world and that is why we are so proud to be its partner and to leverage our diverse media platforms to extend its influence and promote its programming."

Scotiabank has renewed its sponsorship agreement with the National Hockey League to remain the official bank of the league. Scotiabank has been a sponsor of the league since 2007. "We have really enjoyed our work over the past five years with the NHL and have leveraged this partnership as Canada's Hockey Bank to create some great fan experiences for our customers," said Anatol von Hahn, Scotiabank's group head of Canadian banking. "We look forward to bringing Canadians more new and unique hockey experiences."
