RSVP WINNERS

Cornerstone List Companies president and founder Ossie Hinds walked away with the Direct Marketer of the Year award last week at the Canadian Direct Marketing Association's RSVP awards. The Director's Choice award went to Columbia House because of its commitment to Canada. The company's Canadian headquarters uses Canadian media and direct marketing suppliers, and all its print and product production is done locally. Wyeth-Ayerst Canada was presented with the Best of the Best award for the top direct marketing campaign of the year. The campaign was created by Blitz Direct of Toronto for the company's SMA infant formula. The Vic Perry award for the best direct mail campaign was given to the Royal Canadian Mint for its 1995 Classic Collection campaign done by FCB Direct of Montreal. Other winners were: Federal Express, BBDO Response; Bell Canada, Leo Burnett Company; Gilbey Canada, FCB Direct; North American Watch of Canada, Brandworks International; Royal Bank, RMG MacLaren: McCann; Children's Hospital of Winnipeg, Dimark Marketing Services; Kaufman Footwear, Brandworks; Intrawest Corp., Direct Results; Sprint Canada, Grey Direct; and Cablenet, PR Response Inc.
