NEILSON ON THE LOOK OUT FOR TALENT

Neilson-Cadbury of Toronto has put out a nationwide casting call for a new couple for the Crispy Crunch candy bar TV commercials. People can enter individually or as couples. Nielsen launched its talent search this week at Cineplex-Odeon theatres across Canada, where those interested can strut their stuff in front of Crispy Crunch Couple Cams. Aspiring actors can also put their auditions on videocassettes and mail them in. In mid-January Toronto radio station The Mix 99.9 will do a remote broadcast from a shopping centre where Powerhouse Casting and Neilson's ad agency, the Leo Burnett Company, will hold an open audition which will include entry in a draw to win a camcorder. A campaign publicizing the talent search began this week using TV, radio, cinema, print and point-of-purchase, all from Burnett. Promanad Communications of Mississauga, Ont. is handling public relations.
