Andrew Bruce is now at Young & Rubicam of Toronto as business development director. Formerly, he was managing director of BAM Creative Directions of Toronto. The name Bruce is familiar in the Canadian advertising community. Bruce's father Dennis, and brother Duncan, were partners in BAM until earlier this year when they sold their shares to the father and son team of Brad and Marty Myers. Since then, Dennis has set up his own qualitative research and creative planning company. Duncan is creative director at TBWA/Chiat Day's Toronto office
...The top creative person at Toronto-based MacLaren: McCann has been elected chairperson of the Creative Advertising Advisory Committee at Centennial College in Toronto. Executive vice-president and chief creative officer Rick Davis will chair the committee of 10 advertising professionals who advise the college's Creative Advertising Department on programs, curriculum and new directions. Davis replaces Bill Whitehead Sr.
...Lyne Rivard has been appointed commercial director for Affaires Plus magazine. She will be responsible for advertising sales and new market development for the magazine. Most recently Rivard was advertising representative for the business newspaper Les Affaires. Both publications are published by Transcontinental Inc. of Montreal.
