Sponsorship roundup

Specialty television channel Sportsnet  has signed a sponsorship agreement with Molson Coors Canada making Coors Light the exclusive presenting sponsor of the channel's Hockey Central NHL trade deadline coverage. The deal includes Sportsnet's television, radio, digital, mobile and print properties. Until Feb. 27, the sponsorship will include integration into the program's logo, branding on the main set, television billboards and lower thirds, as well as sponsorship of digital, mobile and radio elements. Coors Light will also be featured in the Feb. 27 issue of Sportsnet magazine. "Trade Deadline is a marquee event for Canadian hockey fans, and it was essential we partner with a premium brand that could join us across all consumer touch points," said Dale Hooper, senior vice-president of sales and marketing at Rogers Media. "We are thrilled to partner with Coors Light in this groundbreaking promotion and to continue to fuel the passion of Canadian sports fans with the best hockey content in the country."

Rogers Media has signed five new sponsorship agreements for reality program Canada's Got Talent. The new sponsors are Research In Motion, Wrigley's, ConAgra Foods, Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures Canada and The Division of Tourism and Transportation of the Tobago House of Assembly. The agreements include brand integration into various Rogers Media platforms, including television, online properties and mobile services. The deals also include on-site presences, in-show content, billboards and bumpers, in-store materials, co-branded promotions, and content within CanadasGotTalent.com. "The breadth and depth of our assets give us the unique ability to create customized integrated business solutions to meet our sponsors' brand objectives," said Hooper.
