Scotiabank has signed an agreement with Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment to become the exclusive bank sponsor of the Toronto Maple Leafs hockey team. Scotiabank will also be the official bank of the Toronto Marlies, the American Hockey League affiliate of the Leafs. Through the agreement, Scotiabank will receive branding, advertising and promotional exposure at the Air Canada Centre and Ricoh Coliseum in Toronto. "The Toronto Maple Leafs are one of hockey's most historic and widely recognized teams," said Duncan Hannay, senior vice-president of Canadian marketing at Scotiabank. "Over the last several years we've worked hard to earn the designation of Canada's hockey bank by developing programs that unite us with professional and recreational players, leagues and facilities to connect fans with this sport we love. We have already begun planning with the Maple Leafs and the Marlies, and together we will be able to create programs that are truly special for hockey fans."

We are very excited about the opportunity to work with TIFF in delivering entertainment to Canadians and around the world."
