Tourism Yukon conducts midnight sun campaign

Tourism Yukon has begun a marketing campaign in Vancouver focusing on the seasonal phenomenon of the midnight sun; a period of summer in which the sun does not completely set when viewed from the Arctic Circle region. Developed by Cossette, the campaign makes use of live night sky imagery captured outside Dawson City and displayed on digital billboards in the Vancouver area between the hours of 11PM and 1AM. The campaign is being conducted in collaboration with Astral Media.

"The Yukon has always been a place of larger than life experiences and sights," said Jason Marcotte, marketing manager at Tourism Yukon. "If the scene looks amazing on a board thousands of kilometres away, imagine being here in person. It is pretty remarkable."
