New chief revenue officer at Torstar

Torstar of Toronto has appointed Claude Galipeau to the position of chief revenue officer. He will begin work on Sept. 21. He will manage client revenue operations for the publishing company, with responsibility for Star Media Group advertising revenue. Galipeau was most recently country manager for Yahoo Canada. Prior to that, he was chief operating officer at Syncapse. He has also held senior executive digital media positions at Rogers, Astral Media, Alliance Atlantis and the CBC.
