Bitove retains full control of Torstar

The Toronto-based Torstar Corporation has announced that the arbitration transaction process of NordStar Capital has closed, leaving Jordan Bitove the owner of the corporation. Bitove will also maintain a voting rights interest in VerticalScope Holding and NorthStar Gaming. The Torstar group includes the Toronto Star newspaper and a collection of other city and community news properties. It also has interests in the Canadian Press and Metroland Parcel Services. The arbitration process began in November 2022, when Paul Rivett departed Torstar in what both parties described as an “amicable resolution.”
