Sun Life debuts online interactive coach

Toronto-based financial company Sun Life has introduced a new online service intended to assist consumers manage their pension plans and benefits. The service takes the form of a virtual coach called Ella who can be accessed via the company's website. The system presents a range of information that may be relevant to consumers at various points in their lives. A mobile version of the system is also under development, and the company plans to expand its functionality to include healthcare information at a later date.
"This new digital coach will revolutionize how plan members use and participate in their pension plans, maximizing the tools and services available from their employer," said Thomas Reid, senior vice-president of group retirement services at Sun Life Financial Canada. "We understand that personal finance can be overwhelming and challenging to navigate, but we're confident that this interactive tool complemented by our face-to-face support will help Clients on their journey to achieve lifetime financial security and live healthier lives."
