Tourism Yukon hires TBWA Vancouver

TBWA Vancouver has been appointed agency of record by Tourism Yukon. The assignment includes strategy, creative and media planning and buying. TBWA won the account in a search process that began in April. Three other unidentified agencies were also considered in the final round. TBWA Vancouver's chief strategic officer, Jim Southcott, worked on the account from 1992 to 1994 when he was at BBDO Vancouver. "[TBWA's] passion for our business was clear from the start," said Denny Kobayashi of Tourism Yukon. "We are confident that they will evolve our brand and take it to the next level." A new campaign is planned for the fall in Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton.
