Media Group readies expansion plan

Montreal-based Media Group has repurchased the shares in the company owned by co-founder Guy Fortin. The company will new be headed by president and co-founder Ronald Tapiéro. Media Group is the parent company of out-of-home media firm Neo-Traffic and experiential agency Speed. According to Tapiéro, it will now embark upon an expansion plan. Neo-Traffic will focus on digital billboards in shopping centres. Speed will pursue corporate partnerships or acquisitions related to experiential marketing and social media.

"This investment plan, made possible with financial support from Investissement Québec, will allow us to consolidate Neo-Traffic's positioning in billboard advertising in Canada's shopping malls and that of Speed in experiential marketing on the Canadian market and, eventually, south of the border in the United States," said Tapiéro.
