Newad plans digital display expansion
Montreal-based out-of-home media company Newad has announced plans to bring its total number of digital advertising displays to 4,000 by the end of 2016. This will involve the installation of an additional 1,500 displays over the next 18 months at a cost of approximately $3.5 million.
"We are heavily investing in digital boards because they are popular with advertisers who want to position their brands as trend leaders," said Philippe Marchessault, executive vice-president of operations, development and innovation at Newad. "We are developing and renewing our own software interfaces to maintain our leadership in top-quality establishments. The acquisition of most of Zoom Media's assets in June and the response among advertisers is rolling out better than expected, which means we can speed up the expansion of our digital offer."
