Rogers Broadcasting buys Bounce FM

Rogers Broadcasting has acquired Edmonton-based FM radio station Bounce from CHUM Radio and Milestone Media Broadcasting. The sale remains subject to CRTC approval. No financial details have been released. "Rogers has been active in the Edmonton radio market for four years and we're keen to expand our local presence," said Paul Ski, chief executive officer for radio at Rogers Media. "The acquisition of Bounce will strengthen Rogers' position in this important young adult demographic and will allow us the opportunity to offer a more enhanced service to both our listeners and our advertisers." Rogers operates 13 radio stations in Alberta, in Calgary, Canmore, Edmonton, Fort McMurray, Grande Prairie, Lethbridge and Medicine Hat.
