Farina joins Bell Media
Rob Farina has joined Bell Media as a senior advisor supporting the upcoming Canadian launch of IHeartRadio. Beginning May 1, he will participate in the development, launch and execution of the service, with a focus on corporate partnerships in the broadcast, music, automotive and consumer electronics industries. The digital service will offer live streaming content from Bell Media radio stations, including the CHUM, Énergie and Virgin Radio properties. It will be available via mobile devices, game consoles and in-dash automobile devices.
Farina was most recently vice-president of programming and innovation in the radio division of Rogers Media. Prior to that, he operated Los Angeles-based music company Black Box. He was also executive vice-president of content and platforms at Astral Media, vice-president of programming at CHUM Radio and program director at CHUM FM in Toronto.
