Family Channel updates branding

Astral Media of Toronto has introduced new branding for the Family Channel. The changes, described by the company as a "brand refresh," coincide with the launch of a high-definition version of the channel. The new look is intended to better reflect the energy of the channel's programming, as well as the interests and aspirations of its viewers. "As part of the new look, the Family logo bounces, floats and pops," said Heather Senst, the company's vice-president of creative services. "It never sits quietly on a shelf but bursts with life and energy. Through our new look our viewers are instinctively reminded of the fun, surprising and relatable nature of their favourite Family shows." A new website at Family.ca site will launch in late February.
