Stewart joins CBC

CBC has appointed Kirstine Stewart to the position of executive vice-president. She is responsible for the broadcaster's English services. She has held this position on an interim basis since August 2010. Prior to that, Stewart was general manager of CBC Television. She was also senior vice-president of programming at Alliance Atlantis, senior vice-president pf programming at Hallmark Entertainment and general manager and vice-president of programming at Trio and Newsworld International.
