CRTC approves Newcap purchase of CHNI

Newcap of Dartmouth, NS has received approval from the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission to purchase the radio broadcasting licence of CHNI-FM in Sant John, NB from Rogers Broadcasting. Newcap made the purchase from Rogers last July. Newcap is a subsidiary of Newfoundland Capital Corporation.
"This licence is a great fit for our company as it expands our presence in New Brunswick and represents our entry into the Saint John market," said Newcap president and CEO Rob Steele.
