Newcap gets CRTC approval for NL Broadcasting purchase

Dartmouth-based radio company Newcap has received approval from the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission to to acquire 100% of the shares of NL Broadcasting of Kamloops, BC. The company operated three radio stations in that city: CHNL-AM, CJKC-FM, and CKRV-FM. The transaction is expected to close within 30 days. Newcap is a subsidiary of Newfoundland Capital Corporation.
