Toronto-based online media company Kaboose has launched a new interactive video channel called KabooseTV. The service, located at <http://video.kaboose.com/>, offers 100 video clips containing ideas for mothers, including meal suggestions, crafts for children and fun ways to spend time. “We have created a series of entertaining video segments to help moms gain insights and ideas on how to bring valuable solutions to their family life,” said Jason DeZwirek, CEO of Kaboose. “In addition, this new content provides Kaboose with an interactive platform for our advertisers to reach our valuable demographic.”

LiveDeal.ca has formed an agreement with Smart Media Works to provide a co-branded online classified advertising service for its Lycos.ca website. The service will offer free basic ads that can be browsed nationally or locally. “LiveDeal.ca’s online classified platform makes it easy for us to roll out a proven and popular solution that will compliment our existing e-retailing services and allow us to continue to deliver exceptional value to our users,” said Andrew Morgan, president of Smart Media Works. LiveDeal.ca is a joint venture of LiveDeal, Torstar Digital and Gesca. The company also provides online classified ad services to the Toronto Star, CTV Online, The Hamilton Spectator, The Kitchener-Waterloo Record, The Guelph Mercury and the Gesca newspaper group.

Job search website Workopolis has entered into an exclusive agreement with Yahoo Canada to provide career-related content to its properties. “We already give our users a richer, more local and personalized experience online than any other Canadian portal, and this deal will further enhance our user’s experience by providing them with the resources of the leading Canadian job search site,” said Kerry Munro, general manager of Yahoo Canada. Workopolis is a joint venture of Toronto Star Newspapers and Gesca.

Toronto-based SavvyMom Media has launched a Calgary edition of its email newsletter SavvyMom Today. The company publishes similar localized editions in Toronto, Vancouver and Ottawa. The bi-weekly email is aimed at mothers with children under the age of eight.
