TheStar.com signs representation agreement with Olive Canada Network

Olive Canada Network will take over exclusive network online advertising sales representation for the TheStar.com website on Jan. 1, 2007. “The number of websites available to advertisers to reach target audiences is growing every week,” said Wayne Clifton, vice-president of advertising at the Toronto Star. “Increasingly, advertisers are looking to optimize online spending by purchasing a network of sites that both provides them critical mass of audience and enables them to target their messages effectively. We are confident that national and multi-market advertisers will benefit from the exposure to the broad network of online advertising sites afforded by Olive Canada Network.” Olive Canada, which is operated by Torstar Digital, sells advertising on a collection of websites including Cnet.com, Maxim Online, NHL.com, WalrusMagazine.com, LiveDeal.ca and Toronto.com.
