QUEBEC SHOPS TAKE HOME THE METAL FROM AD COMPETITION

Quebec agencies scored several times last week at the annual international competition for French language advertising called le Mondial de la publicité francophone. Top sales promotion efforts were recognized by the judges. PromoMarketing Canada took both a gold Mondial and a grand prize for innovation with work for Molson Dry, while Promotion Blitz won both gold and bronze with Bell Quebec promos. On the direct marketing side, FCB Direct won silver with a campaign for Air Canada. Allard Pharma Communications also mined silver, with a campaign for Laboratoires Abbott. Three other agencies took bronze awards: BOS (Sports Experts), Publicité Martin (Société de l'assurance automobile du Québec) and BCP (Canadian Tourism Commission). In the Quebec part of the Prix des Nations competition, BOS took gold and silver with campaigns for le Journal de Montreal and Sports Experts, respectively. Bronze went to Cossette Communication-Marketing for a McDonald's ad.
