Boston Pizza begins Looking After Local program
By Derek Winkler

Restaurant chain Boston Pizza International has begun a fundraising initative called “Looking After Local.” The promotion involves the resumption of the chain’s Kids Cards program for a limited time. For a minimum five dollar donation to the Boston Pizza Foundation, consumers will receive a Kids Gift Card which can be redeemed for five children’s meals. The funds will be donated to causes in each local community. The cards will also be distributed online at BostonPizza.ca.
“Community is at the heart of Boston Pizza and, as a proudly Canadian owned organization, we understand that each province, city and neighbourhood has its own unique needs and challenges that only our local franchisees, staff and guests intimately understand,” said Cheryl Treliving, chairwoman of the Boston Pizza Foundation. “The introduction of ‘Looking After Local’ is reflective of our goal to continue to find ways to best support our guests, partners, franchisees and the communities in which we operate each and every day.”
