Boston Pizza readies Gather Round promotion
Restaurant chain Boston Pizza International has begun a hockey-themed promotion called “Gather Round” in collaboration with television program Hockey Night in Canada. Each Saturady beginning Oct. 5, approximately 390 Boston Pizza locations nationally will host events tied to the show. As part of a three-year sponsorship agreement, Boston Pizza restaurants will be outfitted with Hockey Night in Canada branding, including on take-out and delivery containers. Members of staff will wear Hockey Night in Canada blazers and hockey jerseys. The promotion will also include contest elements.
“Canadians have been gathering at Boston Pizza to watch Hockey Night in Canada for over a half-century, so we’re excited to formalize our partnership for the next three seasons,” said Anthony Attard, vice-president of sports and NHL sales at Sportsnet. “With BP on board as a new partner of Hockey Night in Canada, hockey fans across the country will have a great place to get together with family and friends to watch the games on Saturday night this season.”
