Asus conducts Maple Leafs campaign

Computer company Asus has begun an advertising campaign tied to its sponsorship of the Toronto Maple Leafs hockey team. The campaign consists of a 30-second commercial featuring Leafs player James van Riemsdyk and his father Frans. The ad depicts the way in which father and son use Asus Transformer Book laptops to keep in touch during the hockey season. The ad will run during broadcasts of Hockey Night in Canada until the end of the regular season on April 12. The commercial is being supported with online banner and pre-roll advertising, as well as social media activities.

The campaign also includes an online contest component, the winner of which will receive two tickets to a Maple Leafs home game, as well as access to practice sessions, lunch with a Maple Leafs personality, autographed jerseys and an Asus Transformer Book.

The initiative was developed in collaboration with Maple Leafs Sports and Entertainment.
