Toronto-based restaurant chain Boston Pizza International has resumed a summer promotion with video game company Nintendo. The national initiative, which will run from July 2 to Sept. 30, includes branded menu items, Sunday game sessions using in-store Nintendo Switch consoles, and a contest component featuring characters and settings from the Mario Bros. series of games. Consumers can enter a draw for one of 25 prize packages consisting of a Switch and three Mario games. Twenty additional winners will receive other Nintendo merchandise. The promotion will run at participating locations in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, Quebec and Manitoba.
“Following a successful first year partnering with one of the world's premier entertainment brands, we knew we wanted to bring more Mario fun to Boston Pizza guests,” said James Kawalecki, vice-president of marketing at Boston Pizza. “As the leader of family dining occasions, we continually seek to enhance the kids experience and this collaboration does just that.”
