Mark's signs sponsorship with CFL

Clothing retailer Mark's has become the exclusive national casual wear retail sponsor of the Canadian Football League. The sponsorship will run through the CLF playoffs and the Grey Cup championship game on Nov. 24. As part of the agreement, Mark's will supply outerwear for CFL staff during the post-season games. Mark's also gains the uses the names and logos of the league and its member teams, as well as player images and trademarks. In addition, the brand will receive on-field exposure, digital category exclusivity, direct consumer communications and banner ads on CFL websites.
"We are thrilled to partner with the CFL throughout the 2013 playoffs, culminating in the 101st Grey Cup in Regina," said Harry Taylor, chief operating officer at Mark's. "Both the CFL and Mark's are brands with deep connections to Canadians and this partnership allows us to engage with fans in a unique and exciting way as well as showcase how Mark's can enable Canadians to enjoy the biggest CFL game of the season."
Mark's is a subsidiary of Canadian Tire.
