MasterCard Canada readies new campaign

MasterCard Canada will begin a new advertising campaign this month called "Save more. Give more." The campaign, developed by MacLaren McCann in Toronto, will include television, radio, print and online ads and will highlight the discounts consumers can receive from merchants by using the card during the holiday season. The 30-second television commercial uses the claymation style of classic holiday children's shows. It depicts Santa Claus in his workshop on the day after Christmas, handing out bonuses to the elves, who then go on vacation to Las Vegas. The elf imagery is also used in the radio, print and online ads. Media buying is being handled by UM, while R/GA is handling the online component and Armstrong is managing promotions and merchant materials.
