Awards: Canadian Marketing Association

The Canadian Marketing Association recently held its 2013 awards gala in Toronto. The 2013 Best of the Best Award went to McDonald's Canada and Tribal Worldwide for the "Our Food. Your Questions" campaign. This campaign also won gold awards in various advertising, public service, community engagement, digital, experiential and integrated categories.

Gold award winners in the advertising categories were: BMW Group Canada and Cundari; John St., Labatt Breweries of Canada and Anomaly; the Canadian Tourism Commission and DDB Canada; Scotiabank and Bensimon Byrne; and The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada and Lowe Roche.

Gold award winners in the community engagement categories were: Subaru Canada, DDB Canada and Tribal Worldwide; La Carnita and OneMethod; Stanfield's and John St.; the Canadian Tourism Commission and DDB Canada; the Royal Canadian Mint and Cossette; and the Heart and Stroke Foundation Ontario and Agency59.

Gold award winners in the customer management categories were: Audi Canada and Bimm; James Ready and Leo Burnett, Toronto; Unilever and Ogilvy & Mather; Aeroplan and Cossette; Scotiabank and DDB Rapp Canada; and NABS and Zulu Alpha Kilo.

Gold award winners in the digital categories were: Audi Canada and BIMM; Amir Johnson and OneMethod; Unilever and Ogilvy & Mather; the Canadian Tourism Commission and DDB Canada; Scotiabank and Bensimon Byrne; and the Heart and Stroke Foundation Ontario and Agency59.

Gold award winners in the experiential categories were: Audi Canada and Zulu Alpha Kilo; La Carnita and OneMethod; Labatt Breweries and Anomaly; Labatt Breweries and Grip; Scotiabank and Bensimon Byrne; and Raising The Roof and Leo Burnett.

Gold award winners in the integrated categories were: Audi Canada and Zulu Alpha Kilo; the Canadian Tourism Commission and DDB Canada; Scotiabank and Bensimon Byrne; the Ministry of Health & Long-Term Care and BBDO; and Ikea and Leo Burnett.

Gold award winners in the promotion and shopper marketing categories were: James Ready and Leo Burnett; Sony Computer Entertainment Canada and Noise Digital; MasterCard Canada and MacLaren McCann; and Ikea and Leo Burnett.

The gold award in the pro bono category went to Raising The Roof and Leo Burnett.

The Canada Post Direct Mail Award went to Rogers Communications and Wurstlingroup.

The Marketer of the Year award was given to Dani Reiss, president and CEO of Canada Goose.
