Metro continues News Worth Sharing campaign in Vancouver

Commuter newspaper Metro is conducting a street promotion in Vancouver as part of its "News worth sharing" campaign. The initiative includes freestanding boards with newspaper holders located at various transit stations. Commuters can use the boards to take a paper or leave a paper for someone else. In addition, on Tuesday, a promotional worker dressed in green spandex would perform a dance for any passer-by that shared a paper with him. The campaign was developed by Rethink. "In a market like Vancouver, we know how challenging it is to communicate in an engaging and memorable way," said Maryse Lalonde, publisher of Metro Vancouver. "The 'Take One/Leave One' street boards and Metro Man reinforce our 'News worth sharing' campaign, and are fun and entertaining at the same time." The full $2.7 million campaign also includes television, radio, out-of-home, digital, and print advertising.
