Canadian Tire begins holiday billboard campaign

Canadian Tire has begun a billboard campaign for the holiday season in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver. The creative features the character of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer as depicted in the 1964 stop-motion television special. The 36 billboards used in the campaign have been outfitted with plastic noses for the character that are red and illuminated from within. Next to the reindeer is a Canadian Tire sign reading, “Aisle 10. Lights.” The campaign was created by Taxi, the retailer’s creative agency, media buying firm MBS and out-of-home media company Pattison Outdoor. The ads will run until Christmas.
