PADULO DRIVES AWAY WITH SUZUKI
By Adnews Staff
After adding three new models to its lineup in the past six months, Suzuki Canada has decided to consolidate its advertising with one agency. The car maker recently hired Padulo Integrated of Toronto to handle its ad account, with billings totalling $4 million to $5 million. Padulo won Suzuki's creative and media assignments in competition with Grey Advertising and Discovery Communications, both of Toronto. Suzuki liked the work Padulo had done for the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce and BMG Music Club. On the English creative side, Suzuki had previously been using agencies such as Ranscombe & Co. of Toronto on a freelance basis. Suzuki has been using freelancers since 1994, when the company parted ways with its Harrod & Mirlin of Toronto. Hubert Nadeau & Associates in Montreal has been creating French advertising and will continue to do so. Genesis Media in Toronto has done media buying for the past three years.
