The Bay resumes agency review
By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based HBC has begun an advertising agency review for its retail chain The Bay. According to the company, the process began over a year ago, but has been on hold “as various internal changed occurred within the organization.” A number of unidentified agencies have been invited to participate in the review. Padulo Integrated, which has been handling the account on an interim basis, has declined to participate. The agency will, however, continue to provide some marketing services to HBC. “We want to thank Padulo for their 25 years of loyal and dedicated service,” said Patrick Dickinson, general manager of HBC Marketing. “We're constantly seeking to update The Bay's image and provide customers with new and exciting campaigns. Through this process we hope to find the next agency to help us achieve that. The goal is to stir up some creative juices and see what the Canadian advertising world has to offer.” HBC operates 550 stores in Canada under the names The Bay, Zellers, Home Outfitters, Designer Depot and Fields.
