DDB Canada moves into Quebec

DDB Canada has entered the Quebec market through an alliance with Zip Communication of Montreal. The new operation, called Zip DDB, will handle marketing communications in Quebec for most existing clients of DDB Canada. This work will be shifted to Zip DDB gradually. Pending the conclusion of discussions with several DDB clients, no account moves have been officially announced at this time. Zip DDB will also seek new business nationally and internationally. “It’s no secret DDB Canada has been looking to enter the Quebec market,” said Rob Whittle, national president of DDB. “Our long-term vision has been to establish a more national footprint for DDB with the addition of an operation in Montreal. We needed to find the right agency partner, and Michele [Leduc, president of Zip] and her team proved to us they have the necessary Quebec insights, the personality and creative talent, and share our passion for doing great work.”
