Zip DDB receives Boston Pizza account

Boston Pizza International has hired Zip DDB of Montreal to handle its advertising in Quebec. According to Zip DDB, this is the first major account for the agency, formed in November 2006 through an alliance between DDB Canada and Zip Communication. Zip DDB will provide French- and English-language marketing for Boston Pizza in the province in collaboration with DDB Canada’s Vancouver office, which handles advertising for the pizza chain in the rest of Canada. Quebec media planning for Boston Pizza is handled by Touché PHD, a Montreal-based arm of PHD Canada. Zip DDB’s first promotional campaign for Boston Pizza will begin in the spring.
