Subway conducts Good Stuff Giveaway promotion

Sandwich chain Subway has concluded a national contest promotion call “The Good Stuff Giveaway.” The initiative began on Sept. 25 and ran until Nov. 12, supported by television and radio advertising in English and French as well as in-store materials. The broadcast ads featured an employee of a Subway restaurant quitting his job in order to be eligible for the contest. Additional promotion includes a new website at <http://www.freshenergy.com> and email marketing. Prizes include Kia Sorento sport utility vehicles, trips to Costa Rica from G.A.P. Adventures, as well as merchandise from Sony, Columbia, Sport Chek, Staples and Subway. The promotion was developed and executed by Venture Communications of Calgary. “We asked Venture to provide us with a means to engage with our customers in a relevant way, inciting them to interact with the brand,” said Bill Anderson, marketing director for Subway in Canada. Venture will update the website with additional games, contests and information as part of an ongoing promotional effort.
