JAPAN LEADS THE WAY ON THE WEB

More than half of the world's 50 largest corporations operate World Wide Web sites to promote themselves, according to a study from Ketchum Public Relations Worldwide of New York. Japan has the most sites with 27, while U.S. companies account for eight. Among the more interesting things happening with home pages: IBM accepts e-mailed resumes, Royal Dutch/Shell Group offers screen saver and wallpaper downloads and Mobil has a race car photo library.
