Nayler to depart Mindshare Canada

Karen Nayler will retire from the position of chief executive officer of Toronto-based media agency Mindshare Canada on July 31. She will be succeeded by Devon MacDonald, currently the company's chief strategy officer. Nayler has been at Mindshare Canada since its launch on 2000 and became CEO in 2012. Prior to joining Mindshare, MacDonald was managing director of the Toronto office of digital agency 360i. He was also vice-president of engagement planning at Dentsu Bos and a managing consultant at IBM. Mindshare is a subsidiary of WPP.

"Karen is a central figure in the story of Mindshare, who inspired teams across the world," said Ernie Simon, CEO of Mindshare North America. "As a leader, she is incredibly committed to the growth of the agency and its constant innovation. As a mentor, she's dedicated to the professional development of her teams. Her extraordinary accomplishments are admired and respected, and we look forward to celebrating her legacy and retirement. Passing the baton to Devon MacDonald will be one of her greatest accomplishments. He brings a unique skillset to the role, and we're thrilled for him to usher in a new era for Mindshare Canada."
